Default Chewing carpet?

Hi all! What a great resource this is for information on anything Pyr! I know I have read it before and think I remember seeing pictures but can't seem to find it now.
But was wondering if you all had any advice on how to detract my female Pyr from chewing the carpet? I 'think' she does it when her pesky brother takes her nylabones away from her (although she TOTALLY lets him). Anyhow, there are now two holes in the living room (or dog room as we call it now) carpet. Should I spray the spots with bitter apple or will she just move to another spot? BTW, it only happens in that room. So far. Geez I hope I haven't jinxed myself! LOL!
I have to say, I am so totally in love wth both of my Pyr's! No matter what they do, I can never be mad! Oh and you should see how the two of them get along now. It has been two months since we brought Josie home and 4 months since we brought Cody home and they are the best of friends! They are so tuned into each other, they pee and poop at the same time! How cute!
Sorry, I digress. So, carpet chewing - any suggestions?
Thanks !
Karyn

This doesn't help with chewing carpets, but I've found teaching my 2 to respect each other's stuff (toy of the moment, bone, space, etc) has been important for harmony. Reinforcing "That's Gypsy's" or "That's Scout's" when one wants to takes something the other has in their possession has been very useful.

They have both progressed to the point that (even without a reminder) they don't squabble over what the other one has. They have a common toy box but once one has a toy, the other will find something else to play with (except when they are playing a game of 'keep away").

Even tasty treats like a half eaten bowl of vanilla ice cream. (Gypsy will stare at Scout's ice cream since she always finishes first, but won't approach it). Scout will eye Gypsy's half eaten marrow bone, but until she walks away... it's off limits.

It's the funniest thing to watch (funniest as in 'amazing').

i've had a giant rock in the middle of my living room for 5 months because lily ripped up a piece of berber and she won't leave it alone, unless it's covered up.

when she gets older and isn't teething i'll glue it down again.

for now "why is there a rock in your house" is a good ice breaker :]
