Missy barks at least one time during the night it is to let the neighbors know she is still awake and on patrol so no one better do anything that upsets her.

When ever my border cross would do that to me, I knew she was saying to me "I need to go outside.... NOW!" Usually ment she had to go to the bathroom really bad! She was really good at sleeping through the night, but if she had to go, she would wait intill the point of no return, and then wake me up by panting in my face.

So tell me what u guys think about this possibility... It may sound kind of far out there, so bear with me. So everytime Ace has freaked out, it has not been duing a storm and he is often times looking off in an area in the house where there is nothing apparently there. Like last nite I heard him crying so I crept around the corner without him seeing me. He was starring up towards the ceiling in our kitchen and he was totally acting like he was watching something. The interesting thing is, there was nothing there. I have caught him doing this several times since this behavior began and I wonder if he is seeing a ghost?

Is there a crawl space or attic above the kitchen ceiling that critters can access? About 30 years ago, I lived in a house that backed up to an old creek system, so wildlife was abundant. During an especially hot summer, a racoon took refuge in the attic above a bathroom, and my dogs would stare and bark at the ceiling in that bathroom, until I figured it out.

No attic or crawlspace, but he actually had another UTI, but his symptoms this time were different compared to his first one. He has been on celephaxin for the past 2 days and has responded well. Would all of the hair around his penis possibly contirbute to him getting a UTI?

I don't think the hair has anything to do with it to be honest. I have seen several male dogs have no problems what so ever and have a hairy penis.

Actually mine did. His infection would NOT go away. After a long time with this, we cut the hair off there and he got better. No more problem. The urine would solidify in the hair and it would get hard and he had a hard time peeing which caused the infection. Cut it off. YOu can also get a liquid syringe and clean out the tip for any debree. Just put it to the tip and flush, do not insert, lol

thanks for bringing up the hairy topic...on a scary topic my male too got an incident of wat i shall term a close shave wit uti we never quite figure why, one is not drinking enough water (yellow urine) and the other he will mark a cow if he can, he marks everything out there.

living near a reserve, we had something in our roof for a long time now, the pyrs surprisingly didnt bat an eye. this animal will dash and roll around, yep at night! we reckon it's ok as long as they dun make us and our animal into food or the pyrs make em into food.
