Unhappy Never enough time

Wed my F-I-L fell and broke his leg He is 82 and still very active.I was at the hospital with him for most of the day. After I got him home I came back to check on Bella I felt so sorry for her I took her back to grandpas house with me. She likes it there he has a black lab mix Blackie that Bella loves to play with well untill recently Bella is now bigger than her so Blackie wont play much anymoreGrandpa doesnt allow dogs in his house so Bella had to stay leashed up on the front porch She was being treated like a dog bless her heart something she isnt considered at home.Between the garden grandpa work 2 days a week I am not getting the usall time I spend with Bella this week and this is going to be a thing for about 6 weeks.Bella is having a hard time with this and like a kid she is acting out lol. More counter surffing more wanting to bite chew her big girl teeth are comming in so teething is a big thing right now. This morning she is trying to eat the house chewing on the wood baseboards.I know this to shall pass but I cant help feeling sorry for my baby she doesnt understand why momma isnt at home with her like before. She is really missing the one on one time we get most days. When im home I try and spend as much time as I can with her playing and whatever she wants to do just doesnt seem like its helping much with her misbehaving. At almost 5 months she has became untill a cpl days ago a very good baby.Wasnt biting or chewing and def not trying to eat my house lol the counter surffing I take with a grain of salt for there is never anything for her to get. Sorry this post is so long I just needed to vent I guess.Hopefully things will calm down over the weekend DH will be home so he can help with grandpa and the garden and maybe Bella and I can spend some girl time together

I know what you mean, they need so much from us as they grow, and you can never explain to them why things are happening & why you can't be with her. I am sorry to hear about your FIL, hope that he heals up quickly.
You are doing all you can, spending quality time with Bella as you get a chance....but even tho you know why she is acting out....don't let her get away with it...it is another lesson in life she must learn...don't eat the house!!
Try giving her frozen treats, an old towel/dish rag that has been frozen that she can chew on & relieve her teething pain. Frozen boullion cubes, again for teething
It's good to be understanding....but she also needs to understand it's not all about her all the time.
Hope you are not too worn out from all the extra work & stress.
