Rescue walking behavior
I recently got my 3 month old Pyrenees/Akita mix and I'm new to both breeds. When we got for walks she will stop and stare at anything new (person, dog, squirrel, cloud?) and doesn't want to move for a small amount of time. She doesn't bark or pull, rather she sits her butt down and watches. Is this normal behavior or is this part of her anxiety? We are working through anxiety and I want to understand her triggers so I don't force her into unfavorable situations while we work through them. Ive already learned that walking when it is dark is a no go, its the only time she has pulled as hard as she could towards home. Any insight is appreciated.

I'd say she's still adjusting and establishing trust towards you and her surroundings. Give her time.
