    Default Pyr and other dogs

    Hi there!
we currently own a 12 y/o Labrador, who is an Alfa dog.
Thinking of getting a male pyr puppy to add to our family.
Could this be potentially a problem?
    Thank you for your thoughts.

Is the lab neutered? When you say alpha what do you mean by that? Does he get along with other male dogs?

Would a male pyr pup be potential problem - the answer is yes, potentially. Same gender aggression is not uncommon with pyrs. But at the same time many people have no issues keeping same gender pyrs. It all depends on the personality of the dogs, but neutering would likely help. But if you looking to bring in a young pup, it is difficult to know with certainty how a young pup might mature into.
