Hi Lisa, I don't have health insurance, but my neighbors do. They have 24PetWatch and according to them, it is so worth it. They have a bulldog that has a lot of health issues - many bulldogs do - so, for them to have insurance makes a lot of sense. Last time I talked to them they were paying $57/month. They always say that co-pays are not terrible and that overall, they are saving money . I know if there is a serious surgery procedure they have to pay some $$$ out of pocket, but nothing too crazy. Sorry that I can't give you more details, besides that 24PetWatch is what my neighbors have and they're happy with the coverage.
I just did some researcher and this is what I got:
24PetWatch Pet Insurance Programs
Average Price $40 - 76/mo.
Deductible $100 - 1,000
Reimbursement 80%
Annual Limit $1.5k - 20k
Waiting Period for Accidents Varies *

You would need to get a quote because certain dog breeds are more expensive to insurance than others. I am sure that bulldogs - that seem to have a lot of breathing problems - are more expensive than dogs that seem less prone to have health issues.
I thought about getting insurance for my dog, but never did it. I have been kind of lucky with just very few trips to the vet. But I would say that having health insurance (if you can afford it) it's a great idea.

Many home/auto insurers will have pet insurance or at least have a pet insurance partner, maybe reach out to our insurance agent and get a quote.

We have Ren covered by Trupanion. A friend recommended it as she's gone through pretty major issues with her dobie and is happy with their services.
Since Ren was less than a year old when we signed him up, we pay around $35 a month and the deductible is $700 per condition or something like that. The policy does not cover routine stuff, just the more major things. We've not made a claim (not complaining about that) so I don't have anything useful on that front.
