    Wink Kit passes CGC

Even when your dog embarrasses and frustrates you at the time, the key is to keep training because patience will be rewarded! Kit passed her CGC today!! Horray!! This is her second test and she passed it at 11 months. Her first CGC test was around 7 months and she had a hard time in the AKC training club due to the high distraction environment. She is such a sweet dog and I am a very proud mommy! She is doing so much better with her behavior and it has been steady positive improvement. Since she is a Maremma, I can only get the certificate rather than the AKC CGC title because she is not a registerable breed. Horray for Kit and I am excited for the certificate to arrive in the mail in a few weeks! I wonder what we work on now.

Oh, I can think of a few things.... rally, obedience, agility, tracking, drafting/carting, barn hunt, free style dancing

Ah yes, the rich and plentiful memories of public humiliation Bijou put me through to the delight of crowds...

    Congrats to you & Kit!!!

I agree with Jewel....so many directions to go...including getting her therapy title and having the deep satisfaction of bringing smiles to adults & children who respond to the healing touch of a dog...

I'm sure Team SnowyKit can accomplish anything together!

Way to go!!! I like jewel's Team Snowy Kit thing.. such possibilities!
I am working with Zech on training and want to earn his CGC too!
I am working on the calm sitting for touching grooming thing to be better
He is only 6 months and I get near him with a brush and he becomes a jumpy happy brush me play with me whirlwind....
    Calm will happen..... (right? LOL)

Kit went full on psycho around 6 or 7 months for her first CGC. Then she calmed down a lot after 10 months. She still gets overstimulated if we are about to go on a walk. A few days ago she got super happy and knocked me over. CGC definitely does not mean she is perfect all the time.
