    Default My girl, the hybrid

My Delilah is now 19 moths old and all grown up. She is the exact size of a female Border Collie (dad's family), but I think she is shaped much more like her Pyr mom. (Small Pyr?) Her head is very Pyr and she has the pretty face. Her chest is deep. Her fur is changing, getting fuzzier (for lack of a better term) instead of just wavy. She is very, very gentle, and not hyper-active like many BCs. She does fine in the house and does not eat through walls like some BCs I have heard about. She does bark like a Pyr and even has what we call a 'swamp dog howl' when she wants to. At my age, I could not handle a hyper dog. I am very blessed that the is who she is.

I have met some very destructive Pyrs...Pyrs that would put Border Collie destruction to shame. I own one of those Pyrs. I think you just got lucky on the not wanting to destroy stuff gene. We like pictures just a heads up.

Would love to see pictures of your girl. Our pyr is as laid back as they come. He never gets into anything, not even the trash can. He does try to scare of hawks or other birds of prey he sees flying around, and he will catch possums, but leaves them alone when they play dead. Oh, I guess I should say he gets under the cedar tree and tries to dig to China, but that is about it. He also has a bark that is half bark, half howl. Very strange.
