Happy birthday, Zech; he is a gorgeous boy, and I love the YouTube videos.
I used to buy my two boys those big stuffed toys until they started competing to see who could pull all the stuffing out first; now it's Skinnees only!

Happy belated Birthday, Zech!
How is it possible that he is already a year old?
Love that sweet, handsome boy!

OMGOSH Zech Loved all his birthday wishes... Mom's home computer broke and I just got everything back and fixed yesterday!!!!!!
Things have been so crazy I haven't had time to get to the vet to get a weight on him. He's good but a hair too bony and going through a spurt again.
In retrospect the picture I was shown of his parents when I got him Looked like Zech at this age, I do not think Mom and Dad were more that 15-18 months at max... Knew nothing really about pyr details until I brought him home LOL.
I Raised a wolf dog 78% from 4-weeks - picked him out of his litter and spent 2-3 days visiting with him, 11 other pups, mom and dad, until he was weaned and we went home... in the "old days"...
Here is a quick pix of my Aging guy with my Baby Kodimay ....

Then we had My Jeremiah a bernese-7/8 + Pyrenees-1/8 mix;
we lost at 8 years to bloat/Torsion... here he is about 10 weeks old. we had him before we lost my wolf dog Johann.

My world tanked when I lost Jeremiah to Bloat. 4 months later Zech rescued me...
I think LGD's are the best companions and Family members you can find. Love this site.

13 months... 83lbs he's so much a teenager now...
Wow my life has been CRAZY We were vandalized at home June 10th - paint remover on the car $4K damage and they poisoned our entire fence line...
To add to that joy, I was diagnosed as "Nightshade intolerant" I am not supposed to eat tomatoes, potatoes, Peppers( red, green, bell, jalapeno, cayenne, paprika all of it) and eggplant. I don't care about the eggplant... LOL
Everything else is in 99% of everything we eat. Even Mayo and mustard has paprika in it.
It's going to be a very long journey getting used to it. Everything is so bland without peppers and tomatoes, to me that is the savoury flavor everything home cooked has. BUT within 72 hours of removing them from my diet my chronic years long mucous/sinus problem improved at least 80% and my inflammation too....
I''ve been lurking on the forum here a bit but this has been so weird and has consumed so much of my time.
Zech sends HUGE hello's to everyone, he is doing so good, he is SUCH a teenager now, it's so funny. He is Quite the character and so vocal. He has the BEST smile and is still the best thing ever in our world....
He's throwing me stink eyes right now because he's waiting for me to finish this post so we can go to the Dog Park before it gets too hot...

Mom FINALLY got the hang of the slicker brush and He'll stand still for brushing and working on his ears and not take it as an invitation to play and roughhouse LOL
I've been roasting Zech chicken thighs and sweet potatoes: a pan a week and it is helping he just doesn't like his kibble enough to gain much weight, he'll eat just enough and he's a bit bony. I just never found any canned food that I liked the ingredients of and this is actually more cost effective. I get 7 "meals" that Zech and Kodi now share.
5-6lbs thighs and about 4lbs sweet potatoes. The only thing that doesn't get used is the single bone from the thighs.
he really likes his Dinners.... Cheers for now....

OK Zech wanted me to share his DP trip today...
His legs are so long.....

I am so sorry to read about all the destruction that has been done to your home & property....I guess the good news is that you & Zech were not harmed..thank goodness!
I have a friend with the same intolerance to night shades...it is difficult to get used to the diet...however the results are amazing! Hope that this helps you feel better.
Zech looks like a lanky teenager that's for sure....but what a happy guy!

Ugh, that is certainly not happy at all! Nightshades play a very prominent role in our diet too!
But as cumbersome as it may be to watch everything you eat, you now feel way better than you have been for a long time! That's a very good thing in the grand scheme!
Zach's got such pretty long fur on his tail!!
