Default When did your dog lose fluffy puppy coat?

Does anyone want to share how their dog looked as a 4 to 6 month old and then as an adult. My 5 month old seems to be losing his coat! I want it back! lol

My puppy Ren is 7 months. He carries a pretty thick coat and although he's losing puppy fluff, he's getting adolescent coat coming in and so thus far he's still full coated.

Here he is at about 3 months, 5 months, 6 and then 7 months.

I live in annoyingly sunny California so Missy lost her puppy fluff really quick, because it was 80-100 degrees in a matter of months. Climate will have a lot to do with your dog's coat. I work on Newfies who don't have as much coat as others due to our heat.

Okay so the pictures are out of order but, the witch was 6 months old, with the Wolfhound she was 7 months old, in front of the food she was 3 months old and in the grass she was 4 months old.

Tsuni, you need to renounce puppy kidnapping!!! Ru says you have threatened this for most of her puppyhood! She says you can admire but no puppynaping! Did I mention I fell in love with Ren to and was thinking I needed another pup?! Click image for larger version.

yes... mourn the loss of the adorable fluffy puppy coat... celebrate the loss of the razor-sharp puppy teeth! The awkward stage is upon you. I love to go look at the photos from Wiley's training classes... you can readily see when he began the awkward stage... he had a "helmet head" look. Goofy, but lovable. He now has his adult coat... and STILL everyone always comments about how beautiful & fluffy his is!

LOL, Ren would love to go to work with you everyday!! He is truly very social and he's beginning to show a bit of ability to calm another dog down.

@slick61 - Thank you! I don't know how much of that mask will stay as he matures. We'll see

Lily says "Look into my big eyes and do not steal my best playmate Ru!" "Tyro is not nearly so much fun to play with! He's clumsy and we injure each other's teeth!!!"

Missy was just like that as a puppy...so Ren would be perfect for me to pupnap.

Antonia I know I can't steal Ru anymore. Lilly and Tyro are attached to her and I don't want to break their hearts. See, but Ren has no siblings so he is free game right?
