    Default Suggestion on brushes?

Its probably been asked, but figured you guys wouldn't care.

What type of brushes are best for grooming Pyr's? Mine is starting to get tangled and the brushes I have aren't really doing a good job overall.

    Thanks

I use that to help with undercoat, and a slicker to remove mats. I can't find the one I have right at the moment, but its an extra large slicker for dogs with long coats.

Buy yourself a slicker brush, metal tooth comb (aka greyhound comb or poodle comb), double undercoat rake and a dematter if you are starting to get tangles already. Those are what I use on all double coated long haired dogs.

Master Grooming Tools Flexible Slicker Brushes

this is my favorite along with the ones that Tsuni recommended

get the teal one....the "bent" side helps with mats, the other side is a typical slicker brush

Ok so I just snapped my slicker brush handle, and am ordering the one Nancy suggested. For a dematter do you mean something like this one?

That one works, but I feel like it is more likely to hurt the dog if not used properly.

I prefer this style cause all it does is break the hair apart and then you can use your slicker brush and comb to finish it off.
