update: Ender is moderately improving, we are seeing him slowly start to accept the leash (unless he knows we are heading home lol)

    thanks Espinay and Chi_gal

for the most part the interacting with dogs he is well behaved he just walks up to them greets them and if they're interested he's calm and content, if they're not then he just moves on. he has lots of treat toys already he doesn't have much interest in them he likes his bones more. i will do some looking around for some more puzzle like toys.

also classes for him start on the 30th this month. we can't wait.

thank-you everyone for all your comments and input they have been helpful.

update: Ender is walking much better on leash, his biggest improvement is when we are heading home, not nearly as stubborn as before.

and now when someone ignores him he kind of sulks as he walks away, its really cute.

    Yay!!!
Ender will only continue to grow & become his own "boy" with his own set of manners, and it sounds like the trust between you & Ender is growing...just continue to have fun & keep the "happy" voice & patience!!
Re: classes....please make sure that these are positive classes, preferably with someone who has worked with Pyr's before. As in other posts, you will find that a Pyr's personality is not like any others, they are not to be considered the same as a Lab or Retriever, they are a thinking dog that has survived out in the fields with no human around who told them what to do, they knew their job & did it...no one to "command", some times no one for back up, unless it might have been another Pyr.
