is there a better way than using one of my wifes good combs??? wont say what she said when she seen me using it

didnt use them, but will his hair grow back normal if i get the scissors out?

    thanks eh

I have tons of c0ckelburrs on my farm. The are the plant equivelant of velcro. And the Great Pyrenees will always find them while wandering around.

Get one of these! I found mine at petsmart.

It is a dematting comb. It has little knife blades insted of teeth. They aren't razor sharp, but they cut hair well. You work the blades under the burr and then with a twist of the wrist flick the burr out of the hair. It will cut the hair that is intangled around the burr, but remove very little hair. Then you will have a nice little pile of burrs to burn. It takes me about an hour to do a GP that is really plastered with those little buggers. Just pick out a nice spot on the floor and watch a good flick while you are working, the time will fly.

By the way, it also works well on hair mats behind ears.

So I bought a cheap de-shedding rake today, I've never used one before. Started raking Bijou in the back patio as she's started the after-heat total blowing of her coat. Well, I am not quite used the rake not holding the hair together like the slicker brush... I was ABSOLUTELY COVERED in super fine undercoat in about 3 minutes

Terry, if Murphey's coat is not really matted, just has burrs caught up in it, the slicker brush works pretty good too.

    Default hair

he only had 30/40 on him but half were right next to his skin.
had to hold on to him and dig very deep,he was good about it as he hates anything on him

gonna stop in at the local co-op today and see what they have..

also had another run in with my so called neighbor and will be picking up another 1000ft of electric wire as he made his way over there again yesterday.

but i finally seen how he was doing it..

Terry, the farm you got Murphy from has another litter. I think you should get Murphy a buddy.
