Hello wise folks,

I'm new to this forum, came with a question. I have a 2 year old intact male Pyr who was raised with Angora goats. I bought three of his Angora herd, and the great himself, about 6 months ago. He is very gentle, but a bit puppyish at times -- otherwise behaves very well.

My issue is thus: He has picked a favorite goat, one of the smaller ones (and one of the ones he grew up with), and is obsessing on her. He humps her, and follows her around everywhere - to the point where the doe is not getting much grazing time, as she spends too much of her day walking/running away from the dog. He also is either mouthing or pawing her back between her shoulders, and now she's bald there. The skin is not broken, but the hair is rubbed off and the skin is pink.

Any advice on training him not to obsess on this poor wee goat?

Thanks so much for your sage advice...

I would advise you to get him nuetered and see if that has any affect on him. Also try contacting a livestock guard dog breeder for more ideas. Could there be something medical going on with this goat?
