New Owner

I am now the proud owner of a beautiful Great Pyrenees male pup who will soon be nine (9) months old. I have read numerous articles on this breed, but I am learning that Muraco (Algonquin for "White Snow") is a dog of his own in many aspects, and as I work with him, I allow for this individuality to play its part in the training. I find that if you allow him to explore the various aspects of his training, and not push him hard, he seems to constantly respond in a positive manner. His gentle manner and willingness to please all in the family has endeared him to all and has caused friends and neighbors to become really interested in this noble breed. Just kind of letting you know out there that we are very pleased with this wonderful addition to our family; as if you folks didn't know!?! I will have many questions in the future as my big boy matures. As problems may crop up, I wil not hesitate to ask for your guidance in ensuring my Muraco grows up healthy and happy. i am new to this board but not new to pyrs i have 2 girls a 3 year old and a 1 year old they are working farm dogs they do a great job protecting my livestock just like they have been bred to do i love this breed i am glad you are happy with your pup wish you good luck
