I've been reading a lot about Pyrs that have been trained to pull a cart. Has anyone had any luck in this? If so, how do you do it, I mean what is the process? At what age should one start? Do you know where I might get a harness or learn to build one? I don't have a Pyr yet, but I am really getting close. I would really like to train one to pull a cart. How about some details. :)

Ya, a lot of Pyrenees enjoy carting and can be trained easily enough. Some people build their own, but you can also buy some well designed ones as well.

This site here has a lot of good carting information on it

That was helpful but I am more intrested in the process of training. I'm sure you don't just hook a cart to a dog and he pulls it without training. How do I go about the training, you know, getting him to understand what I want him to do? I currently do not have a Pyr, but figured I would practice on my mastif mix. I would like to put him to work delivering newspapers with me. Also I am not real clear on how to harness him to the cart after I build one. I did not see any good pictures of the harnesses.
