OK...well, my Pyrs do guard one thing. This is my nephew at 10 months. Isabella is so good with little kids. Henry, the Yellow Lab, stuck close by because he was fascinated with this little person, who seemed to drop a lot of Cheerios on the floor.

Henry ate the Cheerios. :p The Pyrs aren't as sharp when it comes to food on the floor like the Lab.

Vin that little guy doesnt have much to worry about they may like the Cherios he lets go but if someone or an animal tries to hurt the little fella god help that your Pyrs will tear them apart.

George watches the kitchen its 6 feet across from cabinet to Cabinet and i have to step over him to get in there lol makes it hard to cook dinner
That is, so incredibly cute :) There's nothing I like more than seeing pictures of pyrs arranging themselves around small children. Ok, maybe small children and pyr puppies comes in first, but that's a close second.

Great pictures! That's exactly why I'm interested in this breed. I've heard so much about how wonderful they are with kids. I hope mine will be just as sweet and protective! :)

Here's a link to the events section of this forum, and one of the many instances of our dogs' interaction with infants and toddlers.

Parents would just plop their kids onto Isabella and then visit the other breed boths around us, come back gather up their kids, and move on...it was quite interesting.
