i have 2 males, bubba is about 5 or 6 and yo yo(originaly yoda after star wars but somehow it juswt became yoyo) who is about 2 or 3. other than the fact we can't let them see each other because they will kill each other, they seen to enjoy tormenting me!

when i clean house, bubba will go and lay in the middle of whatever room i am cleaning until i run over hime with the vaccum or yell at him. bubba has a scraching problem, so i tried differant things until i got to sneaking around and realized he only scrached in front of me until i yell at him to stop. bubba waits til i'm napping and cold noses me in the face....no other time. or he will get on me on the coutch and start snoring really loud. he does things like lick big wet spots in the floor in areas that he knows i'll be walking, like on the way to the bathroom. or he waits til i'm cooking and lays there and makes slurping and chewing and i don't know how to describe it noises til i yell at him to stop.

i know you guys are laughing and when i'm not yelling i can laugh to...but really is that necissary? i give my animals more love and positive attention than most kids get. does he just think its a fun game to follow me around? and hair....lots and lots of hair!! no matter what, every time i get the hair cleaned up he goes right behind me and scratches until its covered again. i shaved him and he pulled it out...as long as i was watching and could yell at him. when hes outside if i holler to make shure hes still around...he completly ignores me and if i yell to the point he has to get up hes ticked for the next hour. when i'm in a hurry, he always knows and just does things like stop in front of me or wont let me out the door or won't come in if hes outsode.

does anyone else have this prob or is my pyr just a real jerk(i have a better word for it!!)

Sounds like a normal Pyr to me. Leo will walk really slow in front of me when I go to get the phone the whole time looking at it like "Dad, why don't you pick it up". He will also wipe his mouth off on me after he gets a drink no matter what room i am in he will come find me. During a thunder storm he will try to crawl inside me as if I am supposed to save him. If he gets in trouble he will try to crawl in my lap and suck up because he knows I have a soft spot for cuddly puppies. He will leave his Nylabone in the middle of the floor so I step on it and either trip or scream because it's all chewed up and sharp. When outside he will ignore me completely unless I use magic words like "treat", "ride", "walk" or "momma" - we play hide and seek with him in the house and he loves to go find the person hiding. His name has no effect on him, yelling has no effect, even yelling really loud has no effect. The only way to get his attention outside is to give him a beep on the training collar or if he is feeling really stubborn giving him a correction.

Pyr's are just giant turds who loosely follow your commands and will. When they are bored they will entertain themselves by making up games. Leo will rearrange shoes and other misc stuff in the house when he is bored (or upset). He doesn't chew on anything or destroy anything, just moves it. I think he does it to see if we notice. His other favorite activity is to chew on his brother Rocky. He like to chew on his neck, feet, legs, back, ears, etc. Rocky is very patient with him but does have enough and eventually will put Leo in his place. Then we have wrestling grizzly bears. The games he will make up to entertain himself never cease to amuse me. He is quite a goof. Or also known as a giant TURD.

after about dying laughing, i understand LOL!! when bubba doesn't want to come or go inside, he will stare stright ahead and flip his ears backwards and pretend like he can't hear anything. bubba has enough attitude for 10 pyrs lol and yoyo(the younger male) can't walk across the floor without falling!! bubba used to play things like hide and seek, but he has gotten to "cool" for such childish games in his older age. i guess i will keep yelling at him to amuse him since hes the "puppy of the house". everyone else is "the puppies of the yard" its amazing the names you can think of when you have pyrs!! when yoyo howls, its has a sound that is undescriable and it shuts down the whole area. the dogs stop barking, wild animals stop making there noises..its creepy!!

gotta love a pyr!

Leo did one of the most amusing things last night. He can easily catch his tail since it's so long and every once in a while he will see it out of the corner of his eye (usually he carries it up on his back out of sight) and will grab it. When he has a good hold on it he will start tugging at it... Yes, he will pull himself around hte house by his tail. He has even tried to pull it up the stairs... Well, he will pull and pull and pull and eventually falls over because he pulls his back legs off the ground. Once on his side he will keep pulling and he only stops when he pulls a chunk of hair out. Usually it's a small chunk but sometimes it's a rather large chunk. It's very very funny to watch. He started doing this when he was about 4 months old and has yet to figure out that the thing he is grabbing is actually attached to him.

pyrs are so funny! i had a pyr kommandor mix (she died right before they figured out the dogfood was killing dogs a few years back) and she loved to sit in the pound with a silly look on her face and watch her tail go back and forth in the water. she also liked to sit and wiggle her toes(never seen a dog wiggle there toes before her). the dogs are so differant yet the same breed LOL. Yoyo can't control his mouth, it opens and shuts all the time when you feed him its like playing frog frenzy...you time it out so you can throw it in his mouth when its opened lol. i'll try to take pics of them!!

i love pyr stories! there so unique(and usally stupid) LOL
