Well I took a few hours and got all special forces on my dog. I snuck around and watched her , and saw what she did with her day. She's an angle with all the sheep. Except one.
It's my wether. he was bottle fed and raised with dogs. My LGD will be sitting peacefully on her hill side. Ready to bark and run after anything that moves. Even a leaf!
Well my wether will come up and start to paw at her. If she ignores him his play becomes more rough. Until the dog has to respond.
I about got them broke of the habit. I had to tell the wether no way more than the dog. I got the dog to where she'll just get up and walk away from the wether. So hopefully I solved my problem with the dog playing with the sheep.
On a side note. I bring my blue heeler into the pasture at certain times. And when my LGD is away from the flock I let them play together. This seems to really cut down on how much the LGD wants to play around the sheep. So I'll continue to let the two dogs play together (away from the flock) as long as my LGD lets her is the pasture.
