Hi everybody, Just thought I would introduce myself my name is Bobby I am from New Jersey and my family and I have just adopted our first Great Pyrnees, her name is noggin & she is 1 years old. What a fantastic personality. Her personality reminds me of a German Shp we had years ago. I have never had this breed of dog and although I have had her for only 3 days I am impressed. I think I will learn alot about her being involved on this forum. Forgive me in advance for some dumb questions I might ask about the breed in the future. :)

I love your Pyr's name...Noggin..how cute. ;)
I'm glad you found this site because I think it's important to learn all you can about this intelligent breed. I think many people expect a Pyr to be a certain way and with little things about them, they can be misunderstood...such as....having selective hearing. This is a very intelligent breed, yet they don't want you to know that. LOL

When we lost our Belle just over a year ago (Feb.8, 2008) and went without a Pyr for 3 months as we spoiled our soon to be gone 18 year old Samoyed mix....I missed that Pyr hug so much...a Pyr hug will just make your day. We are constantly wrapping our arms around Sabby's neck, hugging on him.
